THE SAX EXPERIENCE
Studio Collective was launched in 2008 as part of the SAX initiative started in Irene - a marrying of sports & arts centres for scholars and the community. This incredible vision fell victim to the economic crash, and by 2010 John Clarke decided to devote his full attention to his own art practice, Catherine Gaum moved into the world of film and the Studio Collective art school moved into a more intimate private studio with Gillian Conry-Taylor. It was a beautiful dream and an incredible shared experience, and all the work done in the foundation phase is implemented at the Clubview studio.
